2.What is the biggest challenge of being a CEO and how do you overcome it?
The biggest challenge of being a CEO is maintaining uninterrupted flow of information between teams and fulfilling tasks before deadline by maintaining efficiency. One of my biggest concern is hiring the right person for the job and I still make mistakes on that part.
3. Where do you see the company in the next five years and how will you bring about the change?
In short term, SOLRUF aims to build the biggest solar products catalog in India within 2 years and to have the largest pool of solar installers in India in 5 years, operating PAN India in the next 5 years by providing free and unrestricted access to solar energy to all. We will be targeting tier-2, tier-3 cities in Maharashtra as these areas have low depth for solar adoption and also expand to other states to achieve our vision.
4. Did you ever feel like giving up on being a CEO and what motivated you to pull this off?
I never felt like giving up since the idea of making solar products and installations conveniently accessible to all is very intriguing to me and motivates me everyday to move forward with SOLRUF.
5. Describe your biggest achievement.
My biggest achievement till now is, I am incorporating and running SOLRUF.
6.From where do you get the idea for business?
I came across the technical aspects and efficiency of Photovoltaic effect during an online course in “Nanophotonics and detectors” provided by the University of Colorado, Boulder. It developed in me the notion that Solar energy to electricity conversion systems is currently the only way for large scale transition to clean energy in the near future along with sustainable economic development. After trying to access solar products in the market, I found inconsistency in information regarding solar products and installations like no transparency between customer and solar installers regarding prices, quality of products and steps in installation. In order to tackle this issue, I have incorporated SOLRUF in January 9, 2021.
7.What was your aim to start the company?
SOLRUF is India’s first solar marketplace where customers and solar installers can connect with each other and fulfill all their solar requirements. It was started with a basic idea of providing ease of purchase of solar products and solar installations through an online platform. SOLRUF is targeting to fix the broken supply chain related to solar products by setting up a D-2-C route for procurement and hassle-free installations by issuing a structured process to it, most of which can be completed through our online platform within an expedited time. We aim to start a solar revolution with ease of access to precise information related to it.
