1. Describe about your Business and founders.
My
name is Nishant Kumar and I am the founder of Shaping Next Private Limited. We aim to make
education accessible by bringing learners and educators on one innovative platform
that enables an unprecedented exchange of knowledge. We pride ourselves on
connecting educators who are knowledgeable, passionate, and ready to make an
impact, with students who are looking for quality education across the globe in
practical and interactive way.
Shaping Next blends
education best practices, innovative technology, and insightful creativity to
bring thoughtful learning across the world. After doing a core research about
the education system, I got to understand the present need and loophole in the
education system. We are living in the era of internet and technology, but
still there are large numbers of children across the globe who does not have
the access to quality education.
Our goal is to provide
a holistic learning program customized for everyone according to their needs.
From, public speaking, creative writing, learning new languages to personality
development, we have programs for kids in kindergarten to professionals looking
to enhance their skills.
2. What is the biggest challenge of being a CEO
and how do you overcome it?
The
first challenge was to find the right people who had the same wavelength of
thought that I had, who could help me in scaling up my business. Since I had to
start everything from the scratch, I was handling everything on my own in the
initial phase. From connecting number of clients, a day to converting them and
taking classes to kick things off.
After
a while, I figured out that it was imperative to hire a sales and marketing
team. But just hiring the team was not enough. We didn’t have a substantial
amount of budget for advertising. We had to think of ideas that didn’t require
a huge investment but could provide high impact in terms of brand awareness.
3. Where do you see the company in the next five
years and how will you bring about the change?
Today we have clients from India
and abroad. In next 2 years, I am looking forward to create a strong back-end
infrastructure so that my clients have a seamless learning experience with us.
For that, I will be trying to collaborate with some recognized institutions in
the industry for funding and guidance.
4. Did you ever feel like giving up on being a
CEO and what motivated you to pull this off?
No, I never felt to give up because
problems are part of the life. On every step we all face the problems but it’s
very important to fight with it and solve the problem with patience and
experience. I always believe in problem solving attitude, it helps to overcome
from any kind of situation.
5. From where you get the idea for business?
Since I have worked in the education
sector, it was an added advantage for me to understand the flaws in this
sector. I wanted to create a platform where teachers and students should have
the freedom to explore the knowledge. One thing in my mind before starting the
business was, I should be focused on providing the best quality learning
experience.
6. Describe your biggest achievement.
For me the biggest achievement is,
when my clients have a positive feedback about my organization and the services
which we are providing to them.
7. What was your aim to start the company?
I already have experience of
working in Ed-tech industry. While I was working with some of the biggest
companies in the market, I understood the ins and outs of this industry. I saw
the good work they were doing, and I also saw the cracks in their whole infrastructure
that was hampering the experience of their clients. I want to build on my
experience and create a better learning platform to help anyone in need.
Unemployment rate in India is increasing day by day. Since, my whole business
infrastructure is digitally enabled; I have the platform to provide job
opportunities to anyone looking for job across globe. Even now, my whole
workforce is working remotely from different parts of the world.
8. Tell us some of your failures.
As we all know that for any business,
clients are the most important part to run the business. I faced most of the
failures at the starting phase because, I was not getting a greater number of
clients as I expected. But I learned from my mistakes and tried to find out the
solutions for it.
9. What is the role of your family in your
successful career?
I always got support from my family
and friends. They motivated and supported me in my ups and downs. Without their
support it becomes very difficult to walk alone in the path.
10. What is your message to the young generations
and to their parents?
My
only suggestion is that always be ready to explore and learn new things. For
parents I will suggest that support and guide your children in their decisions.
That's really a great step as well as achievement👍
