Arif, Co-founder & Chairman, Hashone Careers
I’m
thrilled to be here and excited about many things. It’s been around 5 years in
the recruitment industry where I have been working with some of the best
companies. Now, as a CEO, I will hopefully start with a positive and confident
tone.
The organisation started its journey with a focus on
technology hiring. We focused on exploring new territories of candidates’
acquisition with a digital-first approach. We specialise in areas like
recruitment outsourcing (RPO), talent acquisition strategy, compensation
advisory, leadership acquisition, university recruitment, flexi staffing, and
outplacement in the field of professional recruitment services.
Since
starting in this role, it has become increasingly clear to me that while
the industry remains an attractive sector, it is entering a period of
significant change, bringing both challenges and opportunities. In addition,
despite improved delivery in recent years, it is also clear there are several
areas of the company that need to be strengthened. I set out three long-term
priorities that everyone in the company is focused on: Innovation, Performance
and Trust. I believe these priorities enable
us to focus on areas where we can improve and allow us to respond more
effectively to our operating environment.

How to

- Help employees feel a sense of ownership.
- Be flexible with vacation days.
- Have an employee retention strategy.
- Be competitive.
Positioning general ship
There’s a
difference between being a senior leader and being the chief executive. All
your life, you’ve been practising in higher stakes situations how to make
decisions, rally the support of others, overcome challenges, and achieve great
outcomes. At the top, however, life will be different. Even the most confident
chief executives have sleepless nights when it dawns on them that they have
ultimate responsibility for the enterprise. When part of your business is
failing, or a mistake is made, it’s on you. You own what happens in your
company.
This is a
good process regardless of whether the opportunity is imminent or you just want
to start imagining yourself in the CEO role.
- Build a compelling vision
- Being a leader of people
- Put your leadership values into action
The
source of strong desire
I have
always had an entrepreneurial mindset. We're too busy proving ourselves.
My
entrepreneurial spirit is the main inspiration for starting my own business.
There are also successful people whom I have admired in my lifetime, and I have
a strong desire to succeed for a purpose much bigger than myself.
To
become the best
Our
long-term goal is to make Hashone Careers one of the leading recruitment
companies in good terms.
