Nilabh Anand, CEO, RarQue

Hi, I am Nilabh Anand, a 2020 graduate of NIT Bhopal. I started working with RarQue in its early days, and now I’m the Chief Executive Officer. I look after the overall business performance and define the future roadmap. Apart from that, currently, I am also working with the Sales and Business Team.

RarQue

RarQue is an online appointment booking application. We offer a complete SaaS-based multi-business service booking software that gives businesses the ability to create and manage bookings, staff, services, and more. When we say multi-business, it means our platform is not restricting any organisation capable of offering service to customers to come on board and take full advantage of RarQue.

It goes even to the extent that individuals who are willing to serve customers can go ahead and register themselves and get benefits from our platform. We provide an all-around benefit to our customers to meet their end-to-end business needs.

Undertaking the unified

Our mission was driven by the purpose of bridging the gap in service availability and customer requirements. As the market has been all about supply and demand, we’ve created a platform where both can meet. With the help of RarQue, there will be no need to install multiple apps for multiple services.

RarQue is an ALL-IN-ONE super app for all kinds of appointments (like salons, doctors, consultants, and others) where everything from booking to payment will be handled by the customer. We want to provide easy market access to the end-users so that they can choose different appointment services based on their preference for quality, cost, and specialty they wish to adopt. In general, we want businesses to gain visibility in the eyes of end users in the same way that e-commerce platforms have given many businesses a voice in the last 3–4 years.

How did you realise you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

Rather, I would say I acquired it from my colleagues. During our initial interaction, I was inspired by the passion and persistence I saw in Sunny for his business ideas. After over a year of working with him, I was able to feel the same as I started making my contributions to RarQue. That’s how it has been on my journey towards entrepreneurship.

Look back on hardship

I would say that the toughest time for us was the first three months of our journey. We struggled to get the momentum for our startup. Things were seeming even harder as we had people losing interest as we couldn’t see the near future. We felt like we had hit rock bottom. Amidst all this, we started our first step with the content team and gave our full effort to bring RarQue to visibility. Since that time, we have been making progress at a consistent rate.

Prospering RarQue

Over one year, we have grown to the strength of a 13-person strong team. Each of us brings the best of our efforts to bear in building RarQue. Other than me, the remaining 4 senior members of our team are:

  1. Dhananjay: He is the Chief Operating Officer and keeps track of day-to-day company activities. He also leads our sales team and provides customer support.
  2. Sunny: He is our creative head, responsible for giving face and voice to RarQue on digital media platforms. He also contributes to the growth and strategy.
  3. Shubham: He is responsible for tech team coordination and feature development of our product.
  4. Anshuman: He keeps track of all the financial needs of the company and ensures its smooth running.

Where do you want to see your company in the next 7 years?

That’s a very long time. In the next 7 years, we want to reach every corner of India and make the word "RarQue" a synonym for "online appointment". We would also like to take our business to the international market and grow our team to at least 200 members. In that period, we are planning to serve at least 10 million businesses and 500 million end-users. I know these are very big, but we are very confident that we will achieve them.
