FemiSafe was founded by the couplepreuners, Noureen Aisha and Naseef Nazar, who, after graduation, worked in diverse industries such as software, human resources, and marketing and started their entrepreneurial journey in 2020.

FemiSafe vows to be a woman's best friend and hence focuses on feminine hygiene and personal care products such as menstrual cups, menstrual cup sterilisers, intimate wash, face razors, body razors, and skincare.

 

Being a standout

FemiSafe stands out by focusing on less favoured Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, especially in the south, by providing the best products as well as an awareness about sustainable menstruation and menstrual hygiene as we have a better cultural understanding.

 

The majority of non-working females are less concerned or are embarrassed to discuss their basic hygiene requirements. What will be the approach to reaching out to that part of society?

We are currently reaching out to that part of society with the help of social media where we provide constant awareness and we also use offline channels to conduct seminars, workshops, and sessions.

 

How will you expand your product line in the future?

We have the following products in our pipeline-Menstrual Cramp Patch, Health Supplements, a wide range of skincare products, Mothercare and Babycare.

 

What is challenging about being in this business? In what ways do you overcome these challenges?

Creating awareness is one of the biggest challenges in this business considering the nature of the topic, as menstrual hygiene is considered a taboo and is quite stigmatised. Social media has helped us overcome this challenge as it is the best platform to unite people and break these stigmas and taboos.

 

How would you like Femisafe to develop?

We aspire to be the No. 1 feminine hygiene and personal care brand in the country.
