Roshan Gopal, CEO, Ropalsoft Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
I am different from the typical perspective CEO in a way that makes me especially well-suited to run an IT company. After earning my degree, I decided to become an entrepreneur. I've started Ropalsoft Technologies Pvt. Ltd in the year 2014 with a vision to make a difference. When you run your own business, you build your own team. You can surround yourself with people who share your vision and work the way you want them to. Being able to nurture new talent and get the best out of your colleagues is one of the most rewarding things about being an entrepreneur.
My experience has taught me that a CEO should be far more than merely the boss. Every successful company is actually a collection of committed and talented individuals who are fulfilled by their work and inspired by their leadership.

Evaluate and Review your Goals
I regularly review our goals and progress. Seeing progress is a great motivator in itself and also improves my self-esteem. Continue to set new goals. Think about what I want to achieve next week, next month, and next year. Attain one goal at a time, so I don't feel overwhelmed. Keep the momentum up. It takes up to 3 months to develop a new habit, so keeping the momentum and routine helps me feel more automatic over time.
I surround myself with positive people. Positive friends and family enhance our positive self-talk, which also helps to manage the symptoms of depression and anxiety.
I also use meditation as one of my daily goals to improve my mental health.
Roshan Gopal on motivation and determination
Working through the tough times requires an increased level of motivation and determination. When the really difficult battles arise, it often means continuing to work and move forward even when you don't want to, or even when you're struggling.
Being persistent forces you to push through and continue moving forward on your journey, whether you want to or not. An important concept within persistence lies in one of its closely tied relatives, consistency.
Consistency is one of the main elements of being persistent. Continuing to show up even though you don't really want to Staying consistent with your habits, your tasks, and your work is where your drive is going to be challenged. You'll see for yourself whether you truly want the reward and the end result, or if you just had a temporary desire for it.
Every task or test is a challenge to not only your commitment, your persistence, and your motivation, but also to your desire. If the desire is truly there, or if it was a temporary sensation, that sensation has already fled. Continuing to work and being persistent is a major part of breaking through and getting to the other side.
Deciding the target audience and introduction of college management software
To best serve our customers, we have to know who we are. Of course, not everyone who buys your products or services fits the same profile, but as a company, we should have a core customer base in mind. Not only does it help you streamline your product and service offerings, it also allows you to give those customers the best possible experience. These are the people we think are the most suited to your products and services. We provide college management services, so we target various colleges who can use our software to make their lives easier.
Analyzing our target market goes beyond understanding our customers—we also have to understand the marketplace. Analytics tools give you a comprehensive view of the landscape by identifying and assessing competitors, helping us find new customers, and enabling us to determine ways to improve.
Missile man of India, My exemplar
The missile man of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, is my role model. He is my role model not because he has achieved great things in life and become the president of India. He is my role model because he dedicated his entire life to the country and its people, especially schoolchildren.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam worked his entire life and achieved many great things in life. But several of his bigger achievements are the testing of atomic bombs at Pokhran, the development of the missile Agni and Prithvi, and becoming the president of India. But there is one more thing which is of great importance. That is, after his retirement from the presidential post, he started teaching because it was his passion.
