Rakhi Ganesh, CEO, RGDiginut
I'm
Rakhi Ganesh, an engineer turned digital marketer. I have completed my
graduation (BTech in Information Technology) from MG University. After
graduation, I was placed at a software company as a Java Developer. But
fortunately, or unfortunately, it doesn't work with my mindset. At that time, I
heard about digital marketing and I realised my passion for it because I've
been fascinated by marketing since I was a child. So, I tried to pursue a
career in the field of marketing. I started my journey in the digital world in
2016. At this moment, I run my own digital marketing firm,
"RGDiginut" and help my clients grow their businesses.

Why do entrepreneurs fail?
There are many
great reasons to start a business. Working for yourself, earning more money,
having a more flexible work schedule and expanding your skill set are all among
them.
If you are
looking for inspiration to start something new, start with yourself, realise
what niche you are interested in.
Don't try to
start a business that you are not passionate about and knowledgeable about.
The reason why a
lot of businesses fail is that the entrepreneurs delete their passion from
their priorities and go for a business they are not familiar with.
About SEO
Search engine
optimization (SEO) is the practise of optimising client websites to rank higher
on a search engine results page (SERP) so that clients can receive more
traffic. The aim is typically to rank on the first page of Google results for
search terms that mean the most to your target audience.
Social media marketing at its finest
Social media allows marketers to connect and engage potential customers where they are: LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and even some of the younger platforms like TikTok. With a strong social media strategy and the ability to create engaging content, marketers can engage their audience. Social media networks are open to all, giving businesses a chance to follow their customers' activities or potential buyers'. This helps marketers be more informed about their target audience's likes, dislikes, and interests so that they can create a better marketing strategy to attract such customers.
RGDiginut Hiring
Be clear about
what you want. Know the characteristics that you're looking for and detail them
in the job requirements.
Prepare for the
interview: The interviewer should be as prepared as the interviewee. Have
questions ready to ask to capture a portrait of who the person is. Don't ask
boring, mundane questions. Ask probing questions.
Your interview
process says a lot about your organisation. The interview process is a preview
of what it’s like to work for the company. If the process is inefficient,
unorganised, and takes a long time. You’re going to lose the top candidates.
Hire the
applicants with proper screening.
It's OK to say no. It is better to walk away from a candidate when you know you don't have the right person. Don't settle for someone who you feel in your gut you might have to let go of in two months. It isn't good for you, the company, or the candidate.
Coming up against difficulties
Starting a
business is a difficult undertaking. It is critical to identify your challenges
and set a plan for how to tackle them. Despite all of the positives, building
your own business has its difficulties. Sometimes these challenges seem bigger
than they really are, and sometimes they keep us from fully pursuing an idea.
Well, it was something I had
always dreamed of doing, and so I did a lot of research before officially
opening my business.
The
problems I faced on the initial stage are
Running the show alone.
Finding funding.
Getting – and staying – organised
and on track.
Maintaining a work-life balance.
From that, I realised that
wearing all the hats of a business can be daunting. First, I need to be honest
with myself about my strengths and weaknesses. I can't be a one-man army to
succeed in business. Bringing young talents to work for my business on a
part-time basis is the solution to the problem. So, I fixed it as my first
priority and solution. When I start my business from scratch, I raise funding
in the form of small business loans or lines of credit, fund it myself through
personal savings, and raise my capital. As a digital marketing firm, getting
clients for business is not a difficult task. But handling, staying &
organising clients on track were the real struggles that I faced in my initial
time. So, I start by writing down and defining tasks and goals for each day and
assigning them to each employee.
The next struggle I face at this initial stage is maintaining work-life balance. As difficult as it might be, it is crucial to establish an unshakable routine that sets clear boundaries between work and free or family time. Everyone manages their days differently; I make a calendar and stick to the daily commitment and do it. If I cross everything off my to-do list by 8 p.m., I won't try to start diving into tomorrow’s tasks. I spend that extra time with my family.
