1. Can you introduce yourself before our audience? 

Sure. 

Well, Who I am, I have been asking myself this question from a long time. A person who wanted to pursue a career in medical field but found herself in the middle of commerce in a blink of eye? A person who was always keen about technology but never gave a thought about taking a chance into that? A person...…..  

My mind used to give me a lot of answers. Never ending answers used to confuse me and at the end, I used to think that I am nothing. Just a human being living in a corner of the world, but one day, someone asked me, "You were so good in your academics, why did you chose commerce?" 

That question hurted me. It shouldn't, but it did. It was said like I was in something which couldn't take me anywhere. 

That day, a thought hit my mind. 

People say that "Whatever Happens, there's always something good in that" 

So, I started wondering and exploring that good which could be possibly lying idle somewhere. It took time. There were days when I wondered that what people say couldn't be true always but somehow, I kept believing that there is something which I am yet to discover and after years and years, I found Safar-e-Adab. 

The day I decided to give this idea a try, I was confused and afraid that I am going to fail. People are going to laugh at me but then I read this quote from a book of Colleen Hoover, "If people are laughing at you, it means that you are putting yourself out there to be laughed at. Not many people have the ability to even do that" 

So, I am putting myself out there to be laughed at and now I know the answer to the question who I am.

2. Can you share about your company? 

Safar-e-Adab is a platform made specifically for emerging writers looking for their way into the world of literature. I was fond of books since my childhood. I used to read a lot so I knew a lot of writers too. I knew some writers who were wandering in search of the platforms where they could get a chance to be a published author. I have seen their masterpiece getting rejected by 1000s of publishers. I have seen them waiting for the reply of the editors of famous magazines for months. I have seen them quitting and breaking. 

So, we decided to take a platform into picture for all those writers out there who are dreaming to get published for decades. 

We are here to prove that "every dream comes true at the right time". 

We review each and every manuscript we receive and give a chance to every writer we see potential in. We publish their writeups in the form of Hard copy, Ebooks or PDF and the best part is we don't charge anything for PDF or Ebooks and offer 30%-50% royalty on ebooks. For Hard Copy, we charge a very affordable amount. 

Also, we publish content in 3 different languages, i.e., English, Hindi and Urdu 

We have already worked with 70+ writers and have 25k+ readers on our website and this is just the beginning.

3. Can you share about your team members?  

Safar-e-Adab was founded by A. Firdaus and two other Co-Founders, Umaira Khan and Ahmreen Shaikh. 

We all are students who are working hard towards making our way into the history.  

We also have a team of Proofreaders, Editors, Social Media Managers and Brand Ambassadors. 

  

4. Can you share about the reading materials available at Safar-e-Adab? 

We have published 100+ novels, short stories, poetries and articles of different authors and genres. Our target is to publish all kind of content whether it is fiction or non-fiction, including biographies and textbooks. We are working on turning Safar-e-Adab into an E-library which would be accessible by any person with a mobile phone and an internet connection. 

  

5. How did you persevere through the tough times? 

We are a team of people who already met the ugliest side of our lives. We know how to survive but there were times when we felt like drowning, our dreams, passion, motivation, everything was drowning deep. At the very beginning, as we all are students, we were facing many challenges. We hadn't enough experience also. There were things about which it used to feel like, "No, this cannot happen. There is no solution for this one" but we kept looking for open doors because Our Holy Qur'aan says, "With every problem comes the ease" 

So, at times like that, we just stick together. Stopped thinking that there is an option of getting out of it and made our way. 

I am the kind of person who never loved the idea of giving up whether it's about a maths problem or career. I find it absurd that people give up without even getting to the edge. 

So, when we keep trying we somehow find an open door glowing bright waiting for us to walk in.  

  

6. How do you get passionated towards reading? 

I would say, this is in my blood. When I opened my eyes, I was surrounded by books. My parents are a great lovers of books. My siblings also. I don't remember when I opened a book as a reader for the first time but I remember that when I didn't know how to read, I used to ask my parents or sisters to read for me and at times when they were busy somewhere, I used to try to read on my own. My childhood hobby which is still with me is reading. 

  

7. What makes Safar-e-Adab special? 

Our passion, which is to guide writers. To help them travel from the world of writers to the world of Authors. We not only publish their writeups, we guide them how to make their writeups a masterpiece. We work towards guiding new emerging writers. 

The best part is in the era of people running towards money, our first motive is to give a chance to all the writers to smell the fragrance of their book. This is why we charge a very affordable amount to publish their content whether in the form of PDF, Ebooks or Hard Copy. We are also working towards launching an E-magazine which will have a column for everything worth writing.
