Nitish Kashyap – Founder, CEO of Number Leader
I am NitishKashyap. By qualification, I’m a CMA(US) and hold a Master in Commerce. I
started my career in audit and taxation and later moved on to work as part of a
Fortune 500 company. I was in the Finance and Accounts Team, handling
Controllership activities, and gradually grew to the Financial Planning and
Analysis team, handling budgets, performance management, and helping the
management with the decision-making process. While I was part of a
Multi-National Company, one thing that I missed was the thrill of seeing the
impact of my work bear fruit. This is when I joined a midsize consulting firm
as a Solutions Architect, where I was solely responsible for identifying
problems, coming up with solutions to business problems, and going on to
execute them with the help of large, diverse teams with many professionals. In
this process, I have worked with clients across the globe in various sectors.
During this time, I saw various problems in the industry, and an idea struck me
while I was quarantined for 15 days during the pandemic. So, since 2020, I have
been running my own startup called Manartha Solutions Private Limited. We are
into management consulting activities assisting startups and MSME’s and we also
assist finance and management students in the industry readiness space, with
skill sets and professional qualifications. Since the past 2 years, we have
imparted training in the fields of finance and management to students across
the globe. We are currently developing our platform, Number Leader, which will
be available soon. In the meantime, you can check out fun and interesting
content on Number Leader's Instagram handle and Youtube channel to get a taste
of what we do.
Manartha Solutions
Private Limited and its services
Manartha Solutions
Private Limited is a management consulting company aimed at providing solutions
to complex business problems. Problems we solve for our clientele range across
support functions of a business like Finance, Management, and Human Resources.
Since the pandemic, one of the major problem areas we identified for our
clientele was that of industry readiness. This is where we started creating
courses and imparting training, coaching, and mentoring to students to get them
job-ready. In the process, we bridge the gap between academia and the industry.
For the past 2 years, we have been operating in the B2B space, our B2C
verticals will launch in 2023.
What was the
inspiration for choosing this career?
I personally don’t
want to fit into a stereotypical box and be called a "Finance
Analyst" or any one thing. I’m an explorer with diverse skill sets, and I
take pride in my work. Plus, I enjoy flexibility of both time and money. All
this, combined with a hunger to create an impact and help my fellow students’
careers, led me to this career path. We are solving problems we encountered
during our formative years.

Collaboration,
Support, and Success Story
Here, I need to be
grateful to my alma mater, the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), the
Miles team, North Star Academy, the Wiley team, the TCS team, many other
startups, students, and every other team we’ve collaborated with and worked
with in the past 2 years. Due to the constant support, trust, and encouragement
from all of them, we’ve done well for ourselves. I also need to thank our
mentors and advisors, Mrs. Sujatha Krishnasamy, Mr. Krishnan Rangaraju, and Mr.
Pramod Balakuntala.
Our biggest challenge has been the constraints we have set in our own minds. Thankfully, resources are abundant. With time, we will break the barriers of constraints and shine. Follow us to be part of our community and growth journey.
Successful Career
as a Coach
The key difference
between a trainer, a coach, and a mentor is that a trainer teaches "How
To?" skills, while a coach educates "Where?" the taught skills
can be applied, and a mentor enlightens as to "Why?" something needs
to be done in the first place. Being a career coach has to be based on
first-principles thinking and have diverse industry exposure. One who has that
must then adapt his methods to academia, obtain acceptance from universities,
and then empathise with students while breaking down complex business
challenges into simple, achievable processes based on timely capsules of skill
sets and learning.
Professional
training to kick-start your career
We just don’t want
to sell you a course, we want to handhold you in your entire journey, from
identifying your interests and forming your career path to choosing the right
journey, including providing courses, getting you freelancing and internship
opportunities, providing you mentors from the industry, getting you hired, and
post-hire support with necessary upskilling and qualification. During the
assessment phase, if we realise that you’re setting out to become an
entrepreneur, we provide you with an entire ecosystem for micro-entrepreneurship
or setting up your start-up.
