Sai Charan Tejapulla – Co-founder, Preksha Edutech Pvt. Ltd.
Myself, Sai CharanTejapulla, was raised in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, and settled in Hyderabad, as
all my business activities take place here. I am a B. Tech. (Civil Engineering)
Graduate along with a PG in MBA (Marketing). My journey just began as a
technical sales engineer in 2013, and today I am a serial entrepreneur who has
founded many companies along with helping many other start-ups as a mentor,
investor, and Growth advisor.
My hobbies and
interests are: I love watching movies in all languages, playing badminton, and
going for long drives (travelling) mostly through green forests and waterfalls
with family.
Entrepreneurial journey
To date, I have co-founded 3 companies and been involved as a minor stakeholder
in 2 start-ups. I founded Ultrafast Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Zentrum
Constructions LLP, and Sri Anagha Associates, which work mostly in the
infrastructure industry, helping all organisations deliver sustainable
solutions. We work on quality control and sustainable environmental solutions
for all projects that have been awarded by our clients from all over the world.
As of today, we are working in the Indian market, and we are trying to enter
other International markets like Asia Pacific countries and the UAE (Dubai,
Saudi Arabia) in the next 2 years. All our companies in the last 2 years have
grown from 0 Revenue to a 2 Million USD group in revenue, and we are aiming for
10 Million USD soon with good projects across India.
As I also work with
start-ups, I am now helping Preksha Edutech Pvt. Ltd., as a cofounder,
build the process in detail to generate revenue. Preksha is a payments company
offering simplified education payment options to parents and institutions. Led
by an experienced senior management team, we work with institutions, schools, and
colleges across India. We provide students and institutions with a next-gen
payments platform, vertical-specific software, and a proprietary payments
network that removes barriers to education payments.
My Roles and Responsibilities:
As a co-founder, I work with the team in all departments, providing my insights
and contacts to build the company in all aspects. I focus on sales, new
Strategies for creating revenue channels, business development, and the
identification of the right channel partners to quickly create impact in the
market and promote the brand to targeted customers.
Role of education in
becoming an entrepreneur
My education in civil
engineering and MBA helped me to become an entrepreneur for sure, and my technical
expertise along with my presentation skills, which I gained through my
education, helped me to be a successful person in my industry because I can
talk to my clients technically and sell my concepts confidently without any
other person's support, which has helped me till date to get the best projects
and clients across India.

Secret of implementing new technological of digital marketing in
business
I always do detailed
Research on a daily basis about the digital transformation that is happening
with many online tools, where AI and machine learning are getting implemented
quickly into the industry. We always pivot our business models as a team according
to the industry to not lose anything in the market with our daily track of
digital transformation, and we keep implementing it in all our organisations to
be alive in the competitive world.
Being in sales, one
should be a people person. How do you balance work and life?
Yes, truly, I am
always a people person, where I narrate the solutions in the best possible and
interesting ways to all my clients, which is my best skill as a nice
storyteller, concluding the solutions interestingly. As I split my day, I woke
up around 6 a.m. to do a routine physical exercise, and my day started from 9
a.m. to 3 a.m. when I monitored my entire organisation's previous day's work
reports. After that, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., I did a lot of social networking,
meeting new startup founders and business people in the market, and ended with
dinner along with family, mostly to cater time to the kid's wife and discuss
all the whole day's things, and again until 10.30 am, either I watched some
documentary series or browsed LinkedIn for Market insights.
From sales to business
development to the founder and CEO
Yes, it has been quite
a challenging journey of 10+ years, but still, I feel like a salesperson every
day when I do Business development on my own, even today, as I feel that
challenging situations should be accepted as the best in the industry. It is because
I feel every day there is an opportunity that needs to be grabbed in the market
that motivates me to not be lazy and careful in my planning.
The extreme transformation that happened in my life as a sales engineer in 2013 to the present day as a serial entrepreneur who founded many companies providing employment to people around me happened because I am always in the hunger mode of consuming knowledge around me. I never stopped learning things I didn’t know without hesitation through the available platforms, which helped me become a successful entrepreneur.
