I am Chayan Bhattacharjee, an alma mater of IIM and XLRI and a People Management professional with over 17 years of experience in the Human Resource Domain cutting across business sectors like Manufacturing, Aviation, Retail, Services, FMCG, FMCD, and Hospitality among others. Currently, I am the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) of Caere India Pvt. Ltd. Strategic HR, Leadership Coaching, Performance Discussion, and Organizational Listening are my areas of interest.
 
 
Career Journey
 
I started my career at an SME Manufacturing company in Kolkata. Later, once I completed my management, I went to work with companies like Future Group, Jet Airways, Travel Food Services, etc. I also did around twenty people -business management-related consulting projects in various industries and verticals.
 
 
Educational Background
 
I am convent-educated and have completed my management education from IISWBM, Kolkata, and XLRI, Jamshedpur. Also, I am an alma mater of IIM-Raipur and IIM-Rohtak from which I have learned all about leadership and people analytics.
 
 
Roles and Responsibilities
 
As an HR management professional, my role is vital in businesses in regard to overseeing talent management architecture, employee development matrix, performance evaluation framework, and fostering a positive workplace culture. At the same time, I need to ensure compliance with labor laws, resolve conflicts, and align HR strategies with business objectives, ultimately contributing to enhanced employee satisfaction, productivity, and overall company success and growth.
 
 
Achievements
 
Turning around people strategy, partnering in high business growth, talent transformation, digital transformations, diversity transformations, wellness transformations, and successfully negotiating various LTS strategies with trade unions across verticals and industries are my achievements.

My publication ‘Manufactured Performance’ is a story in general that talks about how people end up promoting or hiring people who can hit the organization and how best to avoid them.
 
 
Contributions
 
As a Strategic HR Leader, at various times I have contributed differently across organizations. From partnering businesses that saw exponential growth to making HR Policies, to driving upscaled performance to leadership coaching among many others.
