Academic,
and Professional Journey of Ashok Yende
With a humble
beginning in a small place, I headed the leading law institutions in the
country. I have obtained a law degree from Nagpur University, an LL.M. from the
University of Mumbai, a Ph.D. from Pune University, and a D.Lit. from CCU
University, Malawi (South Africa). Moreover, I have passed the "Policy
Designing" program conducted by Harvard Kennedy School, United States.
Completed certificate program on “Entrepreneur Edge” conducted by London
Business School, London.
With more than
35 years of rich and extensive experience in administration & teaching, I
served as Professor and Head of the Department of Law at the University of
Mumbai. I was instrumental in establishing the University of Mumbai Law Academy
and headed it as Director. Presently, I
am the Managing Partner of Yende Legal Associates. Seven students have been
awarded Ph.D. (law) degrees under my guidance. I have authored 07 books and
more than 35 publications to my credit.

with branches in Delhi and Nagpur. Adv. (Dr.) Ashok Yende, is the Founder and
Managing Partner, whereas Adv. Abhishek Yende is the Co-founder. The theme of

registered with the Registrar, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the
Government of India, the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa, and the Bombay

- Invited by the United Nations to address participants from various countries during the “Committee to Elaborate a Comprehensive International Convention on Countering the Use of Information and Communications Technologies for Criminal Purposes” organized by the United Nations in Vienna (Austria) in November 2022.
- Invited
by the Indo-European Business Forum for the International Conclave on
"Make in India,” held in London in September 2022.
- Invited as a Member of the Selection Committee for the Stakeholder Selection Committee for the UN General Assembly High-level Meeting on the New Urban Agenda and UN-Habitat held on September 5–6, 2017 in New York.
- Invited by the Consumer Internationale to participate in the "World Consumer Congress” held in Montpellier (France) in September 1994.
- Acted
as a Monitor of the ILO-IPEC Programme (International Programme on Eradication
of Child Labour), sponsored by the ILO and organized in the slums of Nagpur.

Advocate of
Human Rights
Every year, I
am invited to participate in the events of the State Human Rights Commission,
Maharashtra State. I am also invited to speak as a Guest Speaker at many human
rights events. I have taken action to protect the human rights of affected
persons by filing petitions before the National, and State Human Rights
Commission.

I have authored
06 books and more than 35 publications to my credit. For one book on “Medicine
and the Law," the preface is given by Hon. Shri Justice Bhushan R. Gavai,
presently Judge of the Supreme Court of India, and it was released at the hands
of Hon’ble Shri Justice Dipak Misra, then Chief Justice of India. My articles
are published in reputed journals and magazines.

Trained around 2,000 law students in clinical legal education. I have organised innovative legal education projects at the University, and professional levels. I am a multi-tasker, passionate about my goal, and encourage young people to achieve their goals in life. I am creating awareness among people, and students through my YouTube Channel "Borderless Life Education".
