Professional Journey
Over
the course of my professional journey, I have navigated through various roles
within the education sector. Starting out in schools provided me with a solid
foundation, and an unexpected opportunity led me to assume the role of a
principal in an upcoming English-medium school. Although the tenure was brief,
the experience was rich with invaluable lessons. Unwilling to compromise on my
principles and values, I transitioned back to a teaching role. A significant
milestone in my career was my tenure at Subodh College, where I faced new
challenges and opportunities. This period coincided with my decision to pursue
a Ph.D., reflecting my commitment to continuous learning. Transitioning into
the realm of engineering colleges expanded my expertise. Joining the VIT/VGU
group marked a decade-long period of impactful contributions, including the
establishment of a Toastmasters club and active engagement in addressing social
issues through writing. However, family commitments prompted a move to the UAE,
where I am currently contributing my wealth of experience to the education
system in this new and diverse setting.

My
passion for writing has been a transformative journey, offering me profound
insights into various social issues. Motivated by the desire to inspire
positive change, I delved into topics such as personal growth, emphasizing the
importance of becoming a better version of oneself. Titles like "Be
Better, Not Bitter," "Life is a Journey, Not a Competition," and
"Anything that Costs Your Mental Peace is Expensive" emerged from a
genuine intent to share meaningful perspectives. The positive reception and
appreciation for these writings served as a catalyst for further exploration
and expression. Encouraged by the impact of my words, I continue to channel my
passion into creating content that resonates with others, fostering a sense of
self-improvement and mindfulness in the journey of life.

Teaching methodology of Dr. Haseena
My
teaching style is characterised by interactivity, fostering an environment
where students not only have the right but are encouraged to actively
participate and voice their opinions. I believe that learning is a
collaborative process, and by creating a space for open dialogue, students can
engage more deeply with the subject matter.
Incorporating
real-world relevance is integral to my approach. I strive to provide students
with timely updates related to the current scenario, connecting theoretical
concepts to practical, real-life applications. This not only enhances their
understanding but also instills a sense of the dynamic nature of the topics we
explore. Furthermore, I am an advocate for activity-based classes. I firmly
believe that hands-on experiences and interactive exercises can significantly
contribute to the learning process. These activities not only make the classes
more engaging but also provide students with practical insights, reinforcing
theoretical knowledge and promoting critical thinking skills.
In
essence, my teaching philosophy revolves around creating an inclusive and
dynamic learning environment where students actively participate, stay informed
about the latest developments, and engage in activities that make the learning
experience both enjoyable and enriching.
As a career counsellor, what do you think is more
important—being happy or being successful?
As
a counsellor, it's important to recognise that both happiness and success are
subjective concepts that vary from person to person. The balance between the
two depends on individual values, goals, and priorities. Some people may find
happiness in personal fulfilment and meaningful relationships, while others may
equate success with career achievements and financial stability. In
counselling, the emphasis is often on helping individuals explore their own
values and define what success and happiness mean to them. It's essential to
consider the interplay between these factors, as one's definition of success
may contribute significantly to their overall sense of well-being and
contentment.
