I am Dr. Jagreet Kaur, currently serving as Head of AI Department at Xenon Stack and concurrently holding the position of Founder and AI Ethics Researcher at Akira. My extensive professional journey spans over 19 years, encompassing roles in Academia, Research, and Industry, where my focus lies in the realm of Computer Science and Engineering, supported by a distinguished doctorate.

Throughout my career, I have spearheaded initiatives in cutting-edge technologies, including Conversational AI, Explainable AI, Voice Analytics, and Computer Vision. Presently, I am exploring the realms of Generative AI and Quantum Computing, applying my expertise in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning Algorithms to devise impactful solutions for substantial datasets.

In addition to my corporate engagements, I have made substantial contributions to academia, serving as a Research Scholar & Data Scientist at Akira Analytics, and fulfilling teaching roles at CCET, Chandigarh, and GNE, Ludhiana. My academic pursuits have covered diverse subjects such as DBMS, Compiler Design, Machine Learning, and Big Data.

My dedication to addressing real-world challenges through innovative AI solutions is reflected in projects like Sports Analytics Solutions, Trading Platforms for the Financial Sector, and Automated Video Analytics.

I take pride in being recognized as the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2020 and authoring two influential books: "Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning for Decision Makers: A Growth Hacker's Guide to Cutting Edge Technologies" and the recent "Hyper Automation with Generative AI," along with nearly 20 national and international research papers.

My educational odyssey commenced with a Bachelor's in Technology (B-Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, covering the period from July 2000 to June 2004. This foundational phase laid the groundwork for my academic and professional pursuits, instilling in me the core principles of my chosen field.

Later in my graduation studies, I earned a Master's in Computer Science and Engineering, specializing in CSE & IT, from the prestigious Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, spanning the duration of July 2004 to June 2006. This master's program provided a crucial foundation for my specialization and honed my skills in key areas of computer science and information technology.

In my educational journey, I have dedicated significant years to academic excellence, culminating in a Doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering from Punjab Technical University, a pursuit that spanned from January 2014 to November 2019. This doctoral endeavour equipped me with a profound understanding of advanced concepts in my field, fostering a deep knowledge base.


Professional journey of Prof. Dr. Jagreet

I started my professional journey in August 2006 as a lecturer at GNE, Ludhiana. During this time, my responsibilities encompassed teaching various subjects, including Data Structures, Object-Oriented Programming, Computer Networks, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, DBMS, Compiler Design, and Distributed System. I actively guided B.Tech. and M.Tech. students in their projects and research pursuits, particularly in the domains of distributed systems, machine learning, and big data. Later on, from August 2008 to May 2014, I served as an Assistant Professor at CCET, Chandigarh. Here, I engaged in academic activities, teaching subjects like DBMS, Compiler Design, and Distributed Systems. I actively assisted students pursuing B.Tech. and M.Tech. in projects and research areas related to distributed systems, machine learning, and big data. My role also involved being the New Technology SPoC for industry interaction, fostering connections between academia and industry.

I already had a passion to drive new technologies and new roles, and following the same, I started my corporate career in June 2014 as a Research Scholar & Data Scientist at Akira Analytics, Chandigarh. In this role, I spearheaded the development of a robust exploratory data analysis and machine learning pipeline. My responsibilities included hyper-parameter optimization, feature selection, imputation, and model selection & evaluation in Recommender systems. Presently, I am honoured to hold the position of Head of the AI Department at Xenon Stack. In this role, I am entrusted with the strategic leadership and management of the AI team, overseeing the development and implementation of innovative AI solutions. My responsibilities include steering the department's initiatives to align with organizational goals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, and ensuring the successful execution of AI projects.

In my capacity as the Head of the AI Department at Xenon Stack, I take on the responsibility of steering our AI initiatives towards excellence, including cutting-edge areas such as Generative AI and Quantum Computing. It's a role that involves strategic leadership, overseeing project development, and managing a talented team of AI professionals. Innovation and research are at the core of our endeavours, ensuring that we stay ahead of the curve in the dynamic field of AI.

Collaboration is a key aspect of my role, fostering teamwork across departments to seamlessly integrate AI solutions into various projects. Engaging with clients, understanding their AI needs, and delivering projects that exceed expectations is a fundamental part of ensuring client satisfaction.

Ethical AI practices are paramount, and I am dedicated to upholding responsible AI standards in every aspect of our work. Quality assurance is implemented rigorously to guarantee the reliability and accuracy of our AI solutions. Throughout my academic journey, I've delved into impactful research that spans both national and international acclaim. In my doctoral research, I focused on creating an "Artificial Intelligence-Based Analytical Platform for Predictive Analysis in Health Care." This involved the development of a sophisticated data exchange and interoperability architecture, aiming to personalize patient care by integrating multi-sourced data.

In my master's research, I explored the realm of cybersecurity with a thesis on "Classification and Detection of Computer Intrusions." This involved designing and implementing a Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS) with both misuse detection and anomaly detection engines, a pioneering approach in network-based IDS.

Additionally, my contributions to the field extend to numerous international and national publications. Some notable works include "UEBA with Log Analytics," presented at the 2022 International Conference on Computing, Analytics, and Networks, and "AI-based HealthCare Platform for Real-Time, Predictive, and Prescriptive Analytics using Reactive Programming," recognized at the 10th International Conference on Computer and Electrical Engineering in 2017.

In my ongoing research endeavors, I'm currently exploring the realms of Generative AI and Quantum Computing, seeking ways to integrate these cutting-edge technologies into modern applications. This journey represents my commitment to staying at the forefront of technological innovation, contributing valuable insights to the fields of AI, healthcare, and cybersecurity. In my journey, I've honed skills in Data Science and Data Engineering using tools like Hadoop, Spark, and more. My programming proficiency includes Python, AngularJS, and expertise in Machine Learning. In Data Science, I bring knowledge in Statistics, NLP, AI, and tools like SQL. Deep Learning with frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch is also part of my expertise.

Visualization is a strength in leading successful BI projects with tools like Tableau and Power BI. I make decisive decisions with limited information, and my communication skills enhance effective collaboration. Currently, I'm diving into the realms of Generative AI and Quantum Computing, adding a cutting-edge dimension to my skillset.

During my tenure as an educator, I held the position of Assistant Professor at CCET, Chandigarh, from August 2008 to May 2014. In this role, I played a crucial part in shaping the academic landscape by teaching subjects like DBMS, Compiler Design, and Distributed Systems. I extended my support to B.Tech. and M.Tech. students, guiding them in projects and research areas related to Distributed Systems, Machine Learning, and Big Data. Additionally, I served as the New Technology Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for Industry Interaction, fostering a bridge between academia and industry.

Prior to this, from August 2006 to May 2008, I contributed to the field of education as a lecturer at GNE, Ludhiana. Here, I imparted knowledge on diverse subjects such as Data Structures, Object-Oriented Programming, Computer Networks, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, DBMS, Compiler Design, and Distributed Systems. Similar to my later role, I actively assisted students in B.Tech. and M.Tech. programs, guiding their projects and research pursuits in areas spanning Distributed Systems, Machine Learning, and Big Data.
