Established in the year 2011 as the Facilities Management wing, Foxtrot Enterprises has come a long way today, placing itself comfortably as a global enterprise. Sister concern RAGAS, based out of Mohali, Punjab, is successfully running educational institutes and consultancy firms. Their international clients return to them for repeat consulting. Deepak’s education journey has been in three different domains: Marine Engineering, Sociology, and Project Management. The amalgamation of these three allows him to provide a 360-degree consultancy to clients.
Deepak, with over two decades of experience in multinational environments, is known as the go-getter among his peers. His totally hands-on merchant navy background, visionary nature, marine engineering training, project management professional, psychology and sociology education from Mumbai University, and QMS Lead Auditor certification, combining with an innate sense of business and excellence in academics, have been instrumental in changing the course of many companies.
Prior to founding Foxtrot Enterprises (FE), Deepak was engaged as Dy. General Manager & Manager, Projects at GL Noble Denton (DNV GL Group), the world’s leading ship and offshore classification society, a leading technical advisor, and a leading expert for the energy value chain, including renewables and energy efficiency. During his six years in the role of principal surveyor at DNV, Deepak was actively involved in technology, strategy, engineering designs, and due diligence projects for various clients.
Previously, as Engineering Superintendent, he managed marine fleet operations, spearheaded the company’s new-build projects, represented company management, handled client relationships, and liaised and interacted with vendors, classification societies (ABS, DNV, GL, BV, IRS, LLOYDS), and government agencies.
Deepak, with his wide and cross-domain profile, exudes immense positivity. He is passionate about futuristic and green business models and emits the energies and confidence required to achieve success. He recently re-positioned Foxtrot Enterprises and RAGAS together on a global platform. A multilingual personality, he is all out to raise his companies’ profile in the fields of management consulting, shipping industry, facilities management, and technology-driven startup concepts in both emerging and emerging markets. Navigating turbulence with aplomb, he is familiar with the global regulatory and business environments.
He is also the creator of the concept “Quality and Consistency” program, which articulates the principles for automatic renewal of product delivery without disruption to customer environments. He is especially known for his championship of technology and processes as an amplifier of human potential and his passion for applying intelligence, creativity, and technology in purposeful and meaningful ways to address some of the biggest global challenges.
His never-ending thirst for knowledge includes ongoing doctoral research in management. He is a co-owner and trustee at Focus Institute of Science and Technology, a Thrissur-based engineering college with a primary focus on "molding the leaders of tomorrow." Consistently recognized as a skilled and motivating team player and relationship builder, Deepak has the ability to build vision and to lead cross-functional and cross-cultural teams in both matrix and project-based organizations.

Having different sets of rules to govern actions in each compartment helps get into that role quickly. He says, “It was difficult for me initially, but with training and practice, it became second nature.’
Leadership Advice: How to Stay Motivated
Deepak’s motivation comes from the nuances of life that often go unnoticed. His primary objective is to create smiles in this world. Even during the most stressful negotiations, he manages to smile and to elicit smiles from his clients. With each smile, his motivation rises, and he is better focused on the task at hand.
He has been handling multi-nation operations for corporates (such as DNV GL with 15000 staff in over 200 offices) and has traveled to more than 150 countries during the course of his work. He has a wide network of personal and professional friends all over the world. Having a large network also motivates him.
He is easily impressed by an offering if it caters to varied categories and to different diasporas of society. If it is a well-thought-out and very well executed project, he sincerely looks to add value to the brand by way of partnering in a suitable manner. Deepak is always interested in projects that work towards the betterment of humanity.
Deepak’s advice to aspiring project managers and leaders: “Get into the very fabric of the project you handle. Do extensive reading on the project, formulate strategies to address various aspects, especially those on the critical path. More than the written text, it is the human variable that matters most in projects. So, establish a cordial relationship with all stakeholders, including your own team members and be ready to offer your best to each of them, each time. That’s all!”
