Dr. P.S. Ranjit is a distinguished academician and professional with a wealth of experience in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, and education. He currently serves as the Dean of International Relations and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Aditya University, Surampalem, Andhra Pradesh, India.


Educational Qualifications

He has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Hydrogen Engines, a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (M.E.), a Bachelor's degree in Automobile Engineering (B.E.), and a Diploma in Automobile Engineering (D.A.E.). This robust educational foundation has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of Mechanical Engineering and Automobile technologies, enabling him to excel in his research and professional pursuits.


Professional Journey

He has an impressive track record of over 23 years of teaching experience in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, 15 years of research experience, and 10 years of administrative experience. He is a Board of Studies Member (BoS) at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK), Government of Andhra Pradesh, and has previously held various prestigious positions. These include former SAEINDIA Faculty Development Core Committee Member, SAEINDIA Amaravathi Division Management Committee Member, former Head of Automotive Design Engineering at the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, and former Program Director at both Mahindra & Mahindra and Hero MotoCorp Ltd. He has also successfully executed a prestigious project on Hydrogen engines, funded by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, with a total outlay of 8.1 million rupees. His dedication to excellence has made him a distinguished figure in the fields of education, research, and industry, earning him a reputation as a true leader and expert in his field.
 

Areas of Expertise

He is an expert in various areas, including IC Engines, Alternative Fuels, Hydrogen Engines, and Automotive Technologies. His extensive knowledge and experience in these fields have enabled him to make significant contributions to the development of innovative solutions and technologies.

As an educator, he has taught at various institutions, including as a former part-time online instructor for the New School of Architecture + Design, San Diego, USA, and as a visiting faculty member at Unitedworld Institute of Design, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat, and University of Technology & Management (UTM), Shillong.
 

Academic Achievements

Dr. P.S. Ranjit has achieved immense success in his academic career, with more than 80 research papers published in renowned journals and conferences, including SCI, Scopus, and international and national conferences. In addition to his research contributions, he has an impressive record of intellectual property, with 75 patents, 21 industrial designs, 17 copyrights, 32 book chapters, and 4 international text books to his credit.

He has also mentored various international and national-level competitions, including Formula 1 London, BAJA, Supra, Effi-Cycle, Go-Kart, and National Kart, demonstrating his expertise and guidance in the field. His research and development efforts have led to the establishment of the I.C. Engines Research Lab at UPES, which meets NFPA Class I Division 2 Group B standards.

He is a distinguished professional with memberships in various esteemed organizations. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) (FIE), Life Member of The Combustion Institute – Indian Section (CIIS) (LMCIIS), Member of Society of Automotive Engineers, India (MSAE), Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (LMISTE), and a Chartered Engineer (C.Er.). Additionally, he is a Member of the International Association of Engineers (MIAENG) and a Member of Society of Automotive Engineers, International (MSAE (Int)).
