Dr. L. Vaikunta Rao is a Professor and Head of the
Department of Chemistry, as well as the Dean of UGC Affairs, Research, and
Development at J.B. Institute of Engineering and Technology in Hyderabad. With
over 32 years of experience in academics, research, and administration at the
university level in reputed institutions, he has established himself as a
renowned expert in his field. He holds a master's and Ph.D. in chemistry from
Andhra University. He has collaborated on joint research projects with the
Department of Civil Engineering at IISc, Bangalore, and the Department of
Environmental Science at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, focusing on
sustainable water quality management.
He has supervised 10 Ph.D. students, one M.Phil.
