Prof. CH Sanjay has more than 32 years of experience in academics, industry, and research and has visited South and Southeast Asian countries for employment, research, and to present papers at international conferences. He has held many teaching, research, and administrative positions in reputed institutes at the national and international levels. He is a certified corporate director of the World Council of Corporate Governance UK and the recipient of numerous accolades for his contributions in and research fields from various organizations for his contribution to higher education. The prominent awards that he has pocketed so far are the academic excellence award from former union HRD minister D. Purandeswari in July 2010, the best academic administrator award from SAARC nations from the Association of Scientists, Developers, and Faculties (ASDF) ICCA in December 2012, and the best engineering college principal award for the united AP State (ISTE New Delhi) in November 2013. Actively involved in the 2nd national movement for the development of India (Lead India 2020), he received an award from Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India Hyderabad, in December 2012. Best Engineer award from J.K. Fenner (India) Limited, Hyderabad; Research Excellence Award from Indo-US Global Education in July 2015 and 25th Business School Affair; and Dewang Mehta National Education Leadership Award in Sept. 2017. He was an advisory board member of the Commission of Enquiry, Government of Telangana State (June 2014–June 2018).
Professional Journey
He has worked as an assistant professor in manufacturing engineering at KUTKM in Malaysia (2003–2005), (QS rank 400), and distinguished professor and founder campus director at Gitam University Hyderabad (2009–2018), and as a full professor at King Saud University (QS rank 235) in the industrial engineering department (2019–2023). He has been pursuing his postdoctoral research in artificial intelligence techniques in agriculture engineering at the Singapore Institute of Technology (QS rank 440). At present, he is working as a director of strategic planning and advancement for the J.B. Education Society, Moinabad, Hyderabad. He was the keynote speaker for 43 international conferences, the chair and co-chair of 16 international conferences held in Asia, and a member of the advisory and technical committees for more than 49 international conferences across the world. He is a member of the editorial board or reviewer for more than nine international journals and has evaluated 29 doctoral theses in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, and management. He has to his credit two books published by reputed publishers, nine patents, and has authored more than 76 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, indexed journals, and conference proceedings. He is a reviewer and evaluator for government-funded research projects, academic promotion of faculty members, and curriculum development at government universities in Malaysia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He is a member of the BOS, academic council, and faculty selection committee for various states, deemed to be universities in India. His research areas are composites, superalloys, artificial intelligence and machine learning in manufacturing, advanced materials, product design and development, engineering optimization, additive manufacturing, heuristics algorithms, Cad-Cam and automation, nature-inspired algorithms, and non-conventional energy. He has visited many countries, namely Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, UAE, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Saudi Arabia.
