Could you tell us more about your ventures?

I started Connections in 2009 with a mission to bridge the hiring gaps for corporates. I started the work from home concept when it was unheard of in the industry with 100% women partners and retainers.

Today Connections has close to 50 partners and retainers who work from all parts of India, providing quality candidates to Fortune 500 companies, large Indian conglomerates and start-ups. We are proud to have dedicated partners who go out of their way to help connections grow.

Let’s Talk Talent – an Online HR Newsletter started in 2020 to provide up to date information on HR trends, best practices and HR news helping others with skill development, solving current HR issues, and networking.

What inspired you to Let's Talk Talent and Connections Opportunities Unlimited, and what's its core mission, culture, and values as it grows?

My inspiration stemmed out from my various experiences and looking at leaders who have made it big in the industry.

The vision of Connections is to Serve our clients with world-class services with lifelong relationships and bridge the ever-ending hiring gap in the industry by providing quality candidates to corporates.

We have 7 core values which are – Earn Trust, Speed Matters, Clients for Life, Ownership Mind-set, first time right, Think Big and Results Matter.

Could you share some background about your educational and professional journey?

I am from Hazaribagh – A small town in Jharkhand, I completed my MA in Economics from there and did MBA while working.

I have 2 decades of experience in Recruitment and started my journey with Citi Group, Adecco, Times Jobs and Edgjein before starting Connections in 2009.

I continue to have a great journey with Connections, where I started alone and gradually started hiring retainers and partners. It was not easy to manage work and family together but I was able to grow connections with the support of my family, well-wishers and the Awesome team at Connections.

What sets your venture apart, and what leadership philosophy drives its unique approach and success?

We have multiple USP’s:

  1. We are a Women's Organisation
  2. We are working from anywhere organisation and hence we don’t have fixed working hours so we can work post office hours to fulfil an urgent requirement
  3. Speed and Quality of delivery
  4. We interact with candidates post their joining also and help provide any feedback that the candidate has for the organisation
  5. We have clients for a lifetime

My leadership philosophy is an amalgam of the various experiences and people I have learnt from. The values of hard work, dedication, thinking big, and treating everyone with respect are the ones that I have learned from my seniors and Mentors in the industry and these core values are the foundation of our company culture.
