I’m Dr. Arvind Kumar Pandey, Director at Buddha Institute of Technology, where I’ve had the privilege of leading the institute for the past three years. With over 20 years of teaching experience, my research focuses on microwave filters, IoT, and robotics. Additionally, I have extensive experience with the NBA and NAAC accreditation processes, which has given me valuable insights into quality assurance and institutional excellence. I’m excited to share more about our work at BIT and discuss how we’re advancing education and research in these dynamic fields.

 


Could you share the highlights of your educational and professional journey so far?


I completed my Ph.D. in 2017 from Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur. Over the course of my career, I have published more than 15 research papers and presented at various national and international conferences. My expertise extends to reviewing research papers and guiding projects, which has enhanced my academic and research skills.


I also have substantial experience with NBA and NAAC accreditation processes, ensuring that institutions meet high standards of quality. In addition, I have contributed to the development of virtual labs, which enriches the learning experience for students.


My professional journey includes publishing and being granted patents, highlighting my contributions to innovative research. I have organized several national and international conferences, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and workshops, facilitating knowledge sharing and professional development.


As a senior member of professional platforms like IEEE and IETE, I actively engage with the broader academic and technical community. Currently, I serve as the Director at Buddha Institute of Technology, a position I have held for the past three years, where I continue to drive excellence and growth in our institution.

What motivated you to pursue a career in academia?


My motivation to pursue a career in academia stems from a deep passion for knowledge and a commitment to shaping the future through education. From an early stage in my career, I was inspired by the transformative power of education and its ability to drive personal and societal growth.

What do you consider your most notable achievement in your career so far?


One of my most notable achievements in my career so far is the successful development and implementation of innovative research in the areas of microwave filters, IoT, and robotics. This includes publishing over 15 research papers, presenting at numerous conferences, and securing patents that contribute to advancements in these fields. 


However, what I find most rewarding is the impact of my work on students and colleagues—mentoring the next generation of engineers and researchers and fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation. This holistic impact on education and research is, for me, a defining achievement in my career.
