I am a cost accountant and a chartered accountant. I secured All India 1st rank in CMA exams. My journey in the field of indirect taxation began with a deep interest in understanding the intricacies of tax laws, particularly GST and Customs. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to not only teach but also to author books that have become essential resources for students across India. One of my significant achievements is building 'Tharun's Brainery' from the ground up, a venture that has empowered thousands of students. Additionally, my involvement in creating application-based questions that challenge students to think critically about the subject has been a rewarding aspect of my career.

What advice would you give to students aspiring to build a career in indirect taxation or to those interested in consulting in this field?

For students aspiring to build a career in indirect taxation, my advice would be to develop a strong foundational understanding of the subject. This includes staying updated with the latest amendments and understanding their practical implications. Additionally, focus on application-based learning, where you not only know the law but can also apply it in real-world scenarios. For those interested in consulting, it's crucial to develop problem-solving skills and the ability to offer practical, client-centric solutions. Lastly, always continue learning and stay curious—this field is ever-evolving, and your ability to adapt and grow will set you apart.
