Could you walk us through your professional journey and highlight your key areas of specialization?

My career began in corporate roles at Greycaps and Accord Consultants, where I honed skills in content creation, human capital development, and corporate training. These early experiences laid a strong foundation, allowing me to branch into coaching and consulting independently around 2010. My work spans multiple sectors—Education, Corporate, and Social initiatives—each with its unique challenges and rewards. Some of my most meaningful projects include leading career guidance initiatives for organizations like UNDP’s Code Unnati, which supports skill-building across educational institutions, and providing strategic advisory services to clients from Mystery Sales audits, executive coaching, pre-mortem workshops, vision boarding Future Search workshops. My focus has been on empowering others to succeed through tailored coaching in leadership, employability, and personal development.

What sparked your shift to freelancing, and what core principles and influential mentors have shaped your leadership approach?

My shift to freelancing was unplanned but necessary when my father’s health required me to prioritize family. This experience taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of autonomy.

I’ve been deeply inspired by mentors such as Giri Balasubramaniam at Greycaps, Shivanand at Accord, Industry Pioneers like Madan Padaki and Rohini Nilekani, who emphasized the importance of empathy and self-reflection in leadership. My philosophy is rooted in the concept of “Soch, Gyan, Karma, Tejas, and Astitva”—essentially, aligning thought, knowledge, action, potential, and identity. I believe these principles not only shape strong leaders but also help us live and work authentically, creating positive change in our communities.

Could you provide us with an overview of your current role, highlighting your primary responsibilities and key duties?

Currently, I lead the “Training Vertical “at India’s top Knowledge Services company in a gig economy role in parallel with the freedom to work on other projects.

I live a double life with a dedicated set of collaborators, focusing on scaling SME’s, MSME’s, and startups as well as social impact projects.

In my coaching venture, “Consult Shravan,” I work one-on-one with clients, provide training workshops, and also help institutions craft effective talent development strategies.

I serve in an advisory role with organizations like Ashoka Shishu Vihar, Janajagriti, Subash Schools, Newton Schools, and Freedom Foundation, helping them refine their educational and community outreach programs.

I am Honorary Principal on the outreach committee for the Institute for Advanced Research in Science (IARSc) in Bangalore, founded by an eminent ISRO Scientist.

Whether I’m mentoring young leaders or guiding organizations on strategic initiatives, my aim is to create systems and strategies that lead to sustainable, impactful growth.

With your extensive experience coaching individuals, educators, and corporate professionals, how do you adapt your approach to effectively meet the unique needs and challenges of each audience, from students and teachers to business leaders?

I believe that adaptability is key to effective coaching. Each audience brings unique goals, strengths, and challenges, and it’s essential to meet them where they are. For students, I emphasize self-discovery and practical skills that bridge education and career. With educators, my focus shifts to innovative teaching methods that resonate with today’s learners. For corporate leaders, I prioritize strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills that enhance team dynamics. At every level, I rely on active listening and empathy to help clients build resilience and make meaningful progress.

What advice would you give to young professionals looking to make a difference in the education sector, Founding/ Running a Startup /SME or through social impact initiatives?

For anyone aiming to make a real difference, my advice is to stay curious and patient. Begin by learning the fundamentals of your chosen field, building skills, and seeking mentors. In education or social impact, persistence is crucial—addressing complex issues demands resilience. I also believe in the power of empathy and the importance of viewing every interaction as a learning opportunity. Keep your focus on creating value, and remember that success in these fields often comes from small, consistent steps toward positive change.

On a parting note , Ideate, Collaborate , Innovate, Evolve , Save , Invest, Self- Reflect and Give back to the world.
