Hello! I am a specialist in digital marketing, with expertise in SEO, CRM, and digital marketing analytics. I hold a Ph.D. in Digital Marketing and currently serve as an Associate Professor of Digital Marketing at Petra University. Previously, I served as the Head of the Marketing Department at Applied Science Private University. I am passionate about educating and mentoring students in the rapidly evolving field of digital marketing, which is driven by continuous technological innovation. Additionally, I have received multiple research awards for my work in this field and am actively involved in various local, national, and international committees focused on improving scientific research. I had the honor of serving as the Conference Director for a conference on Digital Transformation and Digital Marketing, where industry experts and academics gathered to discuss emerging trends. I have also authored over 170 research papers, published in Scopus databases, contributing extensively to the academic community. During my time as Head of Department, I also led efforts to achieve prestigious international accreditations like AACSB, IIMP, and CIM, which significantly improved the department’s global standing and academic quality.

 

 

Could you share some background about your educational and professional journey?

 

I completed my undergraduate degree in Marketing, followed by a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing, and a Ph.D. in Digital Marketing. In addition to my formal education, I have earned various certifications in online marketing, digital analytics, and social media advertising. Throughout my professional career, I have held several roles in the private sector, developing digital marketing strategies, running online advertising campaigns, and managing social media platforms. As Head of the Marketing Department at Applied Science Private University, I was involved in driving the department’s strategic direction and leading the accreditation efforts, which resulted in successful accreditations such as AACSB, IIMP, and CIM. This experience, alongside my teaching at Petra University, has allowed me to build a strong academic and professional foundation that I now pass on to my students.

 

 

Could you provide an overview of your role as Head of the Marketing Department at Applied Science Private University?

 

As an Associate Professor of Digital Marketing at Petra University, I teach courses on digital marketing strategies, data analytics, and social media advertising. My role involves providing students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the digital marketing industry. In addition to teaching, I am also actively involved in research within the digital marketing field, mentoring students on their research projects, and integrating the latest industry tools and digital trends into the curriculum.

 

 

What are your areas of expertise, and how has your research journey shaped them?

 

My research primarily focuses on the impact of online marketing on consumer behavior, particularly in areas like digital data analytics and social media advertising. I also investigate how companies use digital tools to develop their brand presence and build customer loyalty. In addition, I conduct research in user experience (UX) design and consumer behavior across digital platforms. Over the years, I have published over 170 research papers in Scopus databases, earning me three national research awards and one global research award. My involvement in several local, national, and international committees has enriched my research, as I work with fellow academics to promote new research methodologies and scientific advancement in the digital marketing domain.

 

 

What inspired you to pursue a career in teaching, particularly in the field of marketing?

 

I have always been drawn to technology and its transformative effects on marketing strategies. The convergence of creativity and data within digital marketing fascinated me, as I saw it as a powerful way for businesses to connect with consumers. Throughout my career, I became increasingly passionate about understanding and applying digital marketing tools to achieve business objectives. This led me to pursue teaching, where I could share this passion and guide students who are eager to make their mark in the dynamic digital marketing industry.

 

 

Could you describe some of the key milestones or achievements in your career and how your teaching philosophy influences your approach to education?


One of my key accomplishments was driving the development and accreditation of the Marketing Department at Applied Science Private University. I led efforts to achieve international accreditations such as AACSB, IIMP, and CIM, which significantly enhanced the department’s global standing and ensured its academic programs met the highest standards. I have also led research initiatives focusing on pay-per-click (PPC) advertising and measuring the return on investment (ROI) in digital marketing campaigns. My research work has earned three national research awards and one global research award. Furthermore, serving as Conference Director for the Digital Transformation and Digital Marketing Conference allowed me to collaborate with industry experts and expand my knowledge on emerging trends. These experiences have significantly shaped my teaching philosophy, which emphasizes the importance of practical, real-world applications in digital marketing education, ensuring that students are well-prepared for industry challenges.

 

 

How do you manage to balance your professional responsibilities with your personal life?

 

Balancing my professional responsibilities with my personal life requires effective time management. I maintain a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time to academic research, student mentoring, and ongoing professional development. I also ensure I spend quality time with my family and engage in activities that promote relaxation and well-being. Proper organization and effective planning play a key role in maintaining this balance, ensuring I remain productive while still nurturing my personal life.

 

 

How do you stay updated with the latest developments in digital marketing, and how do you integrate these into your curriculum?

 

In today’s rapidly evolving world, new specializations, particularly in digital fields like digital marketing، data analytics, and artificial intelligence, are increasingly shaping the way industries function. These emerging fields offer unparalleled opportunities for innovation, and it is essential to align academic research with industry needs. By fostering collaboration between academia and industry, universities can create research that is not only innovative but also practical and applicable to real-world challenges.
