What
inspired your career path, and how has your leadership style contributed to
your professional growth and success?
My
career path was inspired by a deep-rooted passion for problem-solving and
creating systems that drive excellence. This began as early as my school days
when I built my first science project—a solar-to-electrical energy system. That
experience ignited my curiosity about systems and their potential to create
sustainable solutions. Later, this fascination evolved into a commitment to
helping organizations optimize their processes and achieve excellence through
ISO management systems.
A
defining moment in my early career was during the 1990s when, in my second job,
I took upon the challenge of building the entire Quality Management System
(QMS) framework for Punjab Con-Cast Steels Ltd. in Ludhiana (Punjab). It was an
ambitious task as the organization had never undergone a certification process
before. I worked tirelessly with the team, aligning their operations with ISO
standards, streamlining processes, and fostering a culture of quality. The
successful certification of the company became a milestone—not only for them
but also for me, as it reaffirmed my belief in the transformative power of
robust management systems.
With
over 25 years of experience as a Lead Auditor, Trainer, and Consultant, my
leadership style has played a vital role in my professional growth. I believe
in leading by example, inspiring trust, and fostering a spirit of
collaboration. Whether it’s training aspiring QMS professionals or providing
consultation to MSMEs, my approach has always been to empower others while
delivering practical, value-driven solutions.
Ultimately,
my journey has been one of continuous learning and meaningful contributions,
fueled by the inspiration to create systems that drive sustainability, quality,
and excellence.
