Arjun Devadass, Founder and CEO of ELDAPS Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

Could you provide an introduction of yourself to our audience?

I'm Arjun Devadass, the Founder and CEO of ELDAPS Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a startup from Bangalore dedicated to cutting-edge Electronics product development. I come from a humble background in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, and hold a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from SSM College of Engineering, Erode. My professional journey began at a defence electronics startup in Bangalore — a place where I have been groomed into professional and shaped my career. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work across a wide spectrum of organizations, from early-stage startups to the leading aerospace and automotive companies. With that experience, I launched ELDAPS with the vision of delivering high-quality, impactful electronic solutions that bridge innovation and real-world applications.

What inspired your transition into entrepreneurship and technology, and how has your leadership style driven the success of ELDAPS?

Entrepreneurship was never a planned path and it has happened by itself. My father has been the great inspiration in life for me. I have grown up listening to his struggle for education and building the successful Textile venture by his hard work and talent. He was a self-made man, and his story laid the foundation for my values. But I also grew up during the declining phase of that venture and a time of immense hardship, which led to its shutting down. Having scored good marks to secure an admission in Anna University, but could not attend the counselling as we were so financially constrained to even afford a travel to Chennai. I remember and am thankful to the people who have supported those times. Particularly the Chairman of SSM College of Engineering, who provided me an opportunity to have my education at zero cost. Those years have taught life, humility, and resilience more than any textbook ever could so many things.

Later, while working at a multinational company, I found myself in a comfortable position. Entrepreneurship was not something I seriously considered until one conversation changed everything. In his final days, my father encouraged me to try my hand at entrepreneurship. His words were simple, but they stayed with me. People often say words have the power to either create or destroy; in my case, his words created ELDAPS. Though my father did not live to see it, ELDAPS was born from the spirit of his legacy.

At ELDAPS, we strive to create leaders and those leaders build ELDAPS and take to the great skies. We avoid the Word ‘Employee’ and use the term as ‘Team member.’ The qualification for becoming a Team Member in ELDAPS is that we look for having the attitude of a Leader who builds by consistent learning. We standby the belief that “No one is greater than us and no one is lesser than us,” a philosophy that keeps us grounded in humility while aiming for the highest achievements.

We don’t just work; we build by learning. We believe true innovation comes from curiosity, continuous learning, and a willingness to challenge the status quo. We’ve always trusted that when you empower people to learn, they begin to lead not just in their roles, but in how they think and contribute to the larger vision. work. That’s what makes our team special, and that’s what makes ELDAPS more than just a company; it’s a movement built on purpose, resilience, and people.

Could you share key milestones from your professional journey that have shaped your expertise and guided the success of your organization?

The most defining milestones in my early career came when I was part of a defence startup, entrusted with a prestigious project for the Indian Army’s Tank systems. Working in a startup is a unique experience the learning part is more and you're fortunate to exposed to every aspect of a project. I was fortunate to be part of such an environment early in my career, where I was given the responsibility to lead a critical defence project something many wouldn’t expect for someone with less than a year of experience. The project was complex involving hardware PCB design, embedded software development, GUI creation, procurement, manufacturing, testing, integration, and most critically, vehicle-level field trials. Each stage was a learning journey, but the biggest test was during the live integration trials with the Indian Army, where I was sent alone, while major competitors arrived with entire teams.

Being the sole representative, I had to not only technically support and troubleshoot on-ground issues, but also compete, respond to reviews, handle real-time debugging, and ensure successful demonstration all under the scrutiny of one of the most disciplined forces in the world. It was intense, humbling, and ultimately, successful.

That experience taught me two invaluable lessons:

1.     Pressure reveals potential. When you’re placed in high-stakes situations, your best often surfaces along with the chance to learn from every misstep.

2.     Trust builds leaders. My CEO placed full faith in me sending me alone with full responsibility. That belief strengthened my own self-confidence and taught me how powerful it is to trust your team fully.

This milestone didn’t just make me technically stronger; it shaped my leadership philosophy. Empowerment through trust and learning through doing. It laid the foundation for how I lead at ELDAPS today.

What are some of the notable projects ELDAPS has successfully delivered, and how have they made a difference in the industries you serve?

The major project we would like to say is about for Control System for Metro train network. Here we work jointly for major Public Sector unit which provides the end system to Metro for major city in India. The system which we designed replaces the traditional PLC based system with latest Ethercat Technology. The Automated test system shall control the relays which in turn controls the doors, Loop line tracks, signals etc. This brings the automation in metro train network with ultrafast synchronisation technology for complying the Safety standards in Railways. We have been the part of development of the Hardware chassis system with the control software to achieve the safety compliance of Railways. This system is more compact and saves more space than the traditional system.

With a strong foundation in embedded product development and test automation, what core areas of expertise have been most vital to your success?

Embedded Product Engineering

The major expertise is Embedded Product development including the Electronics Hardware and Firmware for any control systems to full-stack solutions involving custom PCB design, real-time operating systems, and System integration with the compliance of standards of Aerospace, Automotive and Medical Industries. This hands-on understanding helps us to lead teams with both technical precision and strategic clarity.

Test Automation & Validation Engineering

We also extend our expertise in creating the Automation system industries like aerospace, automotive, and medical, for the efficient Testing solutions to increase productivity. Our expertise in Test automation hardware and frameworks, HIL testing, and validation planning has helped us deliver high-integrity systems, reduce human error, and accelerate go-to-market timelines.

How do you stay current with the latest tech trends and advancements, and what advice would you give to aspiring tech entrepreneurs?

In a fast-evolving world like technology, learning is not a phase it's a lifestyle. We look for Real-world problems and provide solutions to the same. We keep a close eye on industry needs especially in aerospace, automotive, medical, and defence and align our learning with what's actually creating impact on the ground. We also engage ourself with Communities & Conferences whether it's technical forums, developer communities, or defence expos, we engage with those who are shaping the future. Listening to people on the ground often gives more insight than reading a thousand articles.

I’ve always admired about Sourav Ganguly former Indian Skipper is his belief in backing talent and leading with courage. As he once said, "You must believe in yourself when no one else does that’s what makes you a winner." That mindset is incredibly important for any aspiring tech entrepreneur.

In the startup world, there will be times when people doubt your idea, your approach, or even your ability. That’s when you have to hold your ground and keep believing in your vision. Be bold in your decisions, take ownership, and never be afraid to lead from the front, just like Ganguly did when he transformed Indian cricket.

Also, don’t shy away from taking risks. Innovation doesn’t come from playing it safe. Surround yourself with people who are hungry to win, give them the freedom to grow, and back them even when they fail. That’s how you build not just a company, but a winning culture.
